Training combines classroom instruction with practical scenarios and assessments to reinforce advanced operational understanding.

Objectives

This module develops advanced skills and competency awareness for safe and effective gas network operations, including:

  • Advanced Operational Procedures – Applying complex SCO procedures to high-risk or non-routine operations.
  • Risk Management – Identifying, assessing, and controlling operational risks using a structured risk-based approach.
  • Audit & Review – Understanding the processes for monitoring performance, conducting audits, and implementing improvements.
  • Competency Assessment – Demonstrating SCO competency through practical and theoretical assessment, maintaining EUSR registration standards.
  • Deviation & Emergency Handling – Managing deviations, incidents, and emergency situations effectively.
  • Communication & Leadership – Coordinating teams, supervising tasks, and maintaining clear communication across all operational levels.

Pre-Course Requirements

Delegates must have completed SCO Module 1, and have suitable reading and writing skills.
