Overview

The NRSWA Reassessment course is designed for individuals whose Street Works cards are due to expire. Covering all Operative and Supervisor units, this 2-day course ensures that delegates remain up to date with current legislation, regulations, and industry standards set out under the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA).

Delivered through classroom-based training and assessment, the course reviews the key knowledge required to continue working safely and compliantly on the highways. Successful completion allows delegates to renew their SWQR card registration for a further 5 years.

Objectives

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

• Demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of NRSWA requirements and the Specification for the Reinstatement of Openings in Highways (SROH).
• Reconfirm understanding of safe working practices in street works.
• Refresh knowledge of reinstatement standards, excavation requirements, and site safety.
• Revalidate competence across the chosen operative or supervisor units.
• Complete written reassessments to renew SWQR registration.

Pre-Course Requirements

Delegates must hold an existing NRSWA qualification in the units they wish to be reassessed for. A basic level of spoken and written English is required.

Who Should Attend?

Operatives and Supervisors who require reassessment of their existing NRSWA units in order to maintain a valid SWQR card and continue carrying out or supervising street works activities.
